Description :
With the inclusion of new mothers back into the workforce, HCL Technologies was one of the first Corporates to introduce a day care creche for infants and toddlers allowing proximity to nursing mothers or working mothers with nil or minimal support structure back home.
The creche was a cordoned of room created with metal frame and cement board. The interior was divided into sleeping area, play area, motor skills and work area, feeding area and restrooms. Each was designed specifically keeping in mind the anthropometry of infants and toddlers along with their safety. A splash of colour, low bedding, soft comfortable pillows and a variety of game options on a carpet of grass makes the space warm and inviting for the user age group defined. The feeding room is created in a tucked away corner with comfortable chairs for a nursing mom. The restrooms fittings are also selected for the age group and kept low to suit their heights making it a win-win solution for the corporate and the staff involved
