Theme : Helping Women Farmers of Mandi become Entrepreneurs 

When a childhood friend of mine, Sandhya Menon, working with rural women farmers of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh through the NGO at IIT Mandi approached Sthapati Kalp to design their eco-friendly packaging we definitely couldn’t resist the offer. We stepped in to design space in a completely different format. The task was to create affordable yet durable packets that carried the story of these women farmers trying to become self-sufficient. Along with another dear friend, Vikram Gupta, we designed, executed and shipped packaging material all the way to the village, which then got loaded with walnuts and sent out as corporate gift hampers. Happy, that it still continues to inspire these women to dream, believe and reach for the stars!
