The house was a wall above wall load bearing structure built 40 years before revamp comprising of a ground floor and first floor. The rooms were pigeon holes and ventilation was poor. But the house had sentimental value for the residents and couldn’t be demolished to be redesigned from scratch.

The new plan thus established was to open up the rooms into larger usable spaces with better space allocation and ventilation. New steel girder supports were introduced in the process to achieve the desired results as planned. A completely new terrace room was introduced for an art studio with a terrace party area and garden. The facades were also reworked to give the entire house an upgrade and uplift
